ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

i. General Entry Requirements for National Diploma (ND) Programmes Senior School Certificates Examination (WAEC/NECO & NABTEB) with at least five (5) credits obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects from the minimum entry requirements specified in the current JAMB Brochure.

ii. Requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows: a. SSCE / JAMB entry requirements for the corresponding National Diploma Programmes as published in the current JAMB Brochure. b. Relevant National Diploma at not below LOWER CREDIT Grade. c. At least one-year Post-National Diploma relevant Industrial Experience.

iii. General Requirements for B.Sc. Edu. Four (4) years Programme (Direct Entry) a. ND/NCE, HND at not less than credit level b. Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits or it's equivalent which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings. Five (5) years Programme (100 Level) a. Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits or it's equivalent which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to pay a processing fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) (excluding the result verification fee and any transaction charges). Payment can be made online or in the bank. The College does not accept cash payments. Candidates should visit the College website at www.yabatech.edu.ng and follow the instructions to complete the online application form and submit it.

(i) Application for Part-Time Admission/Registration on Jamb Portal. This is to inform Part Time candidates that application for Part Time Admission is available on JAMB Portal. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made it mandatory for candidates applying for admissions into non-regular Programmes in any tertiary institution in the country to do so through JAMB and be eligible for a JAMB Admission letter. This will allow the concerned candidates to have their admission processed on JAMB CAPS.  

(ii) Guidelines for Application for Part-Time Admission/Registration on JAMB Portal

· Create a JAMB Profile

· Visit any JAMB Centre

· Apply for Part Time Admission on JAMB Portal to generate your JAMB Registration number

· Pick Yaba College of Technology as the Institution of choice

· Pick a Course of preference

· Correction of name(s) must be done before accessing JAMB Portal for Part-Time Admissions/Registration.

· Name(s) on your O’Level results will be the Bench Mark for Registration.

· Registration for Part Time Admission on JAMB Portal is compulsory for all Part Time candidates.  

The campus of preference should be clearly indicated by candidates for programmes that run in both Yaba and Epe Campuses.  

Candidates applying for part-time HND should ensure that their transcripts of the ND programme reach the Office of the Registrar, Yaba College of Technology within six weeks from the date of this publication.

How To Apply For Nigeria Passport From Your Bed Room

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has shown capacity since he assumed office last year

One of his major feats so far is the reforms in the process of acquisition of passport. This has resulted in the creation of an online portal for passport application.

The Minister noted that Nigerian applicants who want 32-page passports with five-year validity would pay N35,000, while those who want 64-page passports with a 10-year validity would pay N70,000.

Nigerians in diaspora who wish to apply for passports with a five-year validity period and 32 pages, will pay $130, while those who prefer passports with a 10-year validity period and 64 pages will pay $230.

To apply online, follow the steps below:

1. Visit the online application portal http://passport.immigration.gov.ng.

2. Click on “Apply for Fresh Passport” (for new applicants)

3. Enter your NIN and date of birth and complete other required data

4. Upload your passport photograph and other supporting documents.

5. Visit the closest Immigration Office for your biometric capture.

6. Within two weeks, your passport will be ready for collection.

For fresh applicants,

2024 JAMB: 8 Important Things to Note As JAMB Registration Starts 15th Jan

JAMB has announced the dates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration, so we thought we should also tell you some important things you should know. 

Below is a summary of everything you need to know before the registration commences:

1. JAMB Registration Dates

The JAMB 2024 UTME registration portal will open from 15th January to 26th February 2024. There may not be an extension for the sales of the registration form, buy it as soon as you can. JAMB Registration must be at the Approved JAMB CBT Centers. 

2. Optional JAMB Mock 

The mock examination which is optional for candidates will be conducted on the 16th of March 2024. 

3. JAMB Main Examination Dates

The 2024 JAMB Main Examination will be held from ​Saturday, 19th April to Saturday, 26th April 2024. “The venue of the examination will be at any of the centers in the candidate’s chosen examination town,” the examination body, added. Note, if you want to score extremely high in JAMB, then you should prepare with our JAMB CBT App. You can contact us for the link to that 

4. Registration Fee

The registration fee for the 2024 application documents is N4,700 (if you won’t write the mock exam) and N5,700 if you’ll write the mock examination. 

5. JAMB Recommended Novel 

As of the time we are updating this page, the JAMB Recommended Novel hasn’t been announced yet. If they should use that of 2023, then it will be “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jali. 

6.  NIN Is Mandatory

According to the JAMB, candidates interested in registering for the 2024 UTME must supply their National Identity Number (NIN) to complete the process.

8. Generating JAMB Profile Codes 

All JAMB candidate MUST use their phone number to get their JAMB Profile Code for the UTME registration. The phone number can be used by one candidate only. CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THE NUMBER USED, IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATION WITH THE BOARD. 

The 2024 JAMB Candidates can now start generating their profile codes through the procedure below. 

Candidate should send his/her National Identification Number (NIN) by text (SMS) to 55019 or 66019 from his/her phone number e.g write the word “NIN” then space and add your 11-digit NIN Number and send to 55019 or 66019 in this format (NIN 00123456789).

There should be a space between the word “NIN” and your 11-digit NIN (Note that the number must not have been used by another person to register for UTME/DE in the past). 

A Profile Code of 10 characters will be sent to the candidate on the same phone number. The phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the candidate’s 2024 application, Examination, and Admission. 

After getting the profile code, what next? 

The candidate will present the profile code at the point of obtaining the JAMB form (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). An ePIN will then be sent as a text message to the candidate’s Phone number The candidate will present the ePIN and profile code at any JAMB-accredited CBT Centre for registration Other Things To Note The application cannot be completed until the candidate’s biometrics (all ten fingers) are captured and photograph taken physically (No submission of passport photograph). Successful capture of biometrics and photograph will authorize a candidate to print his/her e-registration slip. The finger print shall be required for any further transaction with JAMB on the candidates’ profile. Only candidates whose biometrics verification is successful on examination day will be permitted to sit the UTME. No parent or any proxy is allowed to make any transaction on the candidates’ profile. Candidates with biometric challenges can only register at JAMB headquarters Abuja.
